I am thrilled to be joining Highland Park UMC as the new Director of the Weekday Children's Ministry program.  My hope is to continue the tradtion of Highland Park Kindergarten, the After-School Care, and Summer Camp programs, while at the same time growing and building them for years to come.  This year we will being that growth process as we add our inagugural 2K program.  I hold a Bachelors of Science degree in Buisiness Administration and Early Childhood Education, and a minor in Sociology from Coker University.  I have spent the last nine years as an early childhood educator with the Darlington County School District (K - 2nd grade) and developed a passion for educating our youngest learners through play and discovery.  I grew up in Michigan but my husband Kelly and I moved to South Carolina in 1990 and have never left.  We have two daughters, Tessa (23) and Kayla (20), a great dane named Riley, and a Caroina dog named Willie.  I am looking forward to this new and exciting adventure with Highland Park!
