This class was started by a core group of people who committed to staying with the class for the first 6 months. They rotate teachers with each teacher picking out the Bible based curriculum that they would like to teach. They will begin studying "50 Ways to Pray" in August. There are married as well as singles of all ages in the class. This class begins at 9:15am and ends at 10am to give choir members a chance to get to rehearsal.

This is a group of adults ranging in age from 40 to 84. They study various books of the Bible based on the Cokesbury Adult Bible Study series, have a monthly class outing and weekly prayer partners. Class members pray together as well as study God's word. They also support various class projects and activities. This class meets at 9:15am.

Various teachers teach this class. They are currently reading and reviewing the book "Raising Children of Faith." This class meets at 9:15am.

This class is primarily a group of adults from 50 to 85. Bible study follows the Cokesbury Adult Bible Study Series. This class meets at 9:15am.

This class meets at 10:30am. They pick various biblical studies. Currently, they are looking at the Bible through the use of past popular TV shows (such as I love Lucy, Andy Griffith Show, etc.)

This class is made up of older adults. It is a lecture style class and taught by several teachers on a rotating schedule. Bible Study is based on the Cokesbury Adult Bible Study Series.They also sing hymns at the beginning of class. This class meets at 9:15am.

This is a class of middle aged and older adults who study the Bible and its history as well as contemporary social issues. They enjoy outings together as a class and sponsor the drop-off and pickup of non-perishable items for Lighthouse Ministries. This class meets at 9:15am.

This class is comprised of married couples mostly in their 20's and 30's. Class studies include Christian parenting and marriage studies. This class has adopted our local FMU Wesley students as well as Highland Park's own college students. They make exam packages at Christmas for each person. This class meets at 10:30am.

This class is comprised of married couples mostly in their 30's and 40's and some singles. Various Bible studies are used as well as current issues, parenting and family issues. They like to do monthly mission projects as well as fun events. This class meets at 9:15am.

Children's Church serves children grades 3K through 2nd grade during the morning worship hours (9:00 and 11:00).  Children attend the first part of the worship service with their families and exit with the Children's Church leaders after with Children's Moments or at the designated time.  During Children's Church, children are introduced to fundamentals of the Christian faith.  Lessons include music, listening and sharing, craft time, and a light snack.  Parents are asked to sign their children in to Children's Church as they enter the worship service.  Sign-in sheets are located in the Narthex and on the information tables in the Field's Center. Please indicate any food allergies or concerns on the sign-in form. Parents should promptly pick up their children at the end of the service.  3K and 4K children are worshipping in Room 37 and 5K - 2nd grade are worshipping in room 37.

Sunday School is offered for children in grades 3K through 6th grade.  Kindergarten classes (3K, 4K, and 5K) are designated to one grade level while elementary grades are in combination classes of 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th, and 5th & 6th. Teachers in all grade levels use the Faith Weaver Curriculum.  Children are encouraged to bring their Bibles to use during Sunday School class and to memorize the weekly Bible verse.

Nursery is available for both worship hours (9:00 and 11:00) and during the 10:00 Sunday School hour.  Infant, toddler, and two-year old nurseries are served by a CPR trained and SLED checked nursery worker as well as volunteers.
