No matter who you are or where you come from, if you are in 7th-12th grade, you are welcome at HPUMC Youth!
Our plan is to partner with parents to help them raise their families in the Christian faith. We know that middle and high school students are busier than ever-our goal is to create environments in the midst of their busy weeks where they can encounter the Living God and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Welcome to HPUMC Youth! Sunday Morning Small Groups Students meet every Sunday at The ATTIC at 10AM. Middle School and High School students meet separately. The ATTIC is a brick house located on the corner of Hampton and Rutledge (1325 Rutledge Avenue). We use Orange XP3 curriculum. XP3 stands for the three things we want students to experience. Love for God, for themselves, and for others. United Methodist Youth Fellowship Students gather Sunday evenings from 4-6PM at The ATTIC. We enjoy devotion, fun and fellowship, and a meal. Friends are always welcome! Middle School and High School students meet separately for the activity. The purpose of UMYF is to bring youth closer to God through service, fellowship, small and large groups, and to learn how we can grow through His word and our works. Youth Council The Youth Council is a small group of students who represent the larger youth group of Highland Park United Methodist Church. They are the body that gives input as to what events and/or programs our youth group creates or participates in. They also help determine meeting times and locations, as well as participate in behind-the-scenes ministry stuff like branding and marketing. Students serving this year are Faith Fields (10th), Julia Rowe (10th), Abi Doke (9th), Trey Garland (9th), and Caroline Messier (9th). Youth Leadership Training Each first Sunday, youth assist with communion. Each third Sunday, youth lead children’s moment. Each fourth Sunday, youth lead the morning prayer and usher. Each fifth Sunday, youth lead Children's Church. We always encourage all our youth to serve! Please contact HPUMC for more information! Photo Gallery |
