No matter who you are or where you come from, if you are in 7th-12th grade, you are welcome at HPUMC Youth!
Our plan is to partner with parents to help them raise their families in the Christian faith.
We know that middle and high school students are busier than ever-our goal is to create environments in the midst of their busy weeks where they can encounter the Living God
and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Welcome to HPUMC Youth!

Whether you're counting the days with joy or tears - graduation is approaching! As a church, our rhythm for celebrating is to recognize all of our graduates (college and high school) in worship. We encourage all graduates and their families to join us for this celebration. We will celebrate on Sunday, May 19, 2019! Please plan for your graduate to process in cap and gown alphabetically for each service. Each graduate will be individually recognized at each service (blessing at 9AM and gift at 11AM). A celebratory brunch will be held in our Fields Center at 10AM. We will have designated seating, so please let Mrs. Hope Whaley know how many will be attending no later than May 12. Also, please submit one graduation photo and any details you would like included in our worship bulletins and slideshow presentation.
The Youth Council is a small group of students who represent the larger youth group of Highland Park United Methodist Church. They are the body that gives input as to what events and/or programs our youth group creates or participates in. They also help determine meeting times and locations, as well as participate in behind-the-scenes ministry stuff like branding and marketing.
Students serving this year are Faith Fields (10th), Julia Rowe (10th), Abi Doke (9th),
Trey Garland (9th), and Caroline Messier (9th).
Youth Leadership Training
Each first Sunday, youth assist with communion.
Each third Sunday, youth lead children’s moment.
Each fourth Sunday, youth lead the morning prayer and usher.
We always encourage all our youth to serve!
Please contact Hope Whaley, Director of Youth Ministries, for more information.
