No matter who you are or where you come from, if you are in 7th-12th grade, you are welcome at HPUMC Youth!
Our plan is to partner with parents to help them raise their families in the Christian faith.
We know that middle and high school students are busier than ever-our goal is to create environments in the midst of their busy weeks where they can encounter the Living God
and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Welcome to HPUMC Youth!
THIS SUNDAY...November 26
10AM Sunday School at The ATTIC
Tidal Wave Fundraiser
Youth have an opportunity to raise money for 2018 personal event credit during the month of December. Purchase a ticket for $10 and receive a $20 car wash. Each student may get 20 tickets to sell and earn $100 credit toward the event of their choice. Pick up tickets from Mrs. Hope November 29. These make great stocking stuffers!
Sunday School is held at The ATTIC each week at 10AM. Middle School and High School youth meet separately. The ATTIC is a brick youth house located on the corner of Hampton and
Rutledge (1325 Rutledge Avenue).
Every First Sunday is Sweet Sunday at The ATTIC. Volunteers provide something sweet and a beverage (~25 people) for the first few minutes of Sunday School. Sign up to serve in 2018 on the big board leading into the Narthex.
United Methodist Youth Fellowship
Youth gather Sunday evenings from 4-6PM at The ATTIC. We enjoy devotion, fun and fellowship, and a meal. Friends are always welcome! Sign up to provide a meal in 2018 on the big board leading into the Narthex.
The purpose of UMYF is to bring youth closer to God through service, fellowship, small and large groups,
and to learn how we can grow through His word and our works.

The Youth Council is a small group of students who represent the larger youth group of Highland Park United Methodist Church. They are the body that gives input as to what events and/or programs our youth group creates or participates in. They also help determine meeting times and locations, as well as participate in behind-the-scenes ministry stuff like branding and marketing.
Each Sunday, a different Hospitality Team, is responsible for providing dessert, helping meal providers unload, setting up, fixing drinks, saying the blessing, serving, and clean-up.
Youth Leadership Training
Each first Sunday, youth assist with communion.
Each third Sunday, youth lead children’s moment.
Each fourth Sunday, youth lead the morning prayer and usher.
We always encourage all our youth to serve!
Youth 'move' occasionally in worship and on Youth Sunday. Rehearsals vary.
Any youth interested in joining InMotion, please contact Mrs. Jeannette Braswell.
Please contact Hope Whaley, Director of Youth Ministries, for more information.
