No matter who you are or where you come from,
if you are in 7th-12th grade you are welcome at HPUMC Youth.
Our plan is to partner with parents to help them raise their families in the Christian faith.
We know that middle and high school students are busier than ever-our goal is to create environments in the midst of their busy weeks where they can encounter the Living God
and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Welcome to HPUMC Youth!
We're excited to hold our
24th Annual Pumpkin Patch FUNdraiser!
The patch is open from 9AM-dark until we sell out!
Anyone may work the patch. Sign up in the Narthex (each slot needs two people). Proceeds from our patch go back into our community by assisting needy families at Christmas and local missions.
Get service hours too!
Sunday School is held at The ATTIC each week at 10AM. The ATTIC is a brick youth house located on the corner of Hampton and Rutledge (1325 Rutledge Avenue).
Our United Methodist Youth Fellowship (grades 7-12) meet Sunday evenings from
4-6PM at The ATTIC. We usually gather for a meal, devotion, fun, and fellowship. Friends are always welcome! The purpose of UMYF is to bring youth closer to God through service, fellowship, small and large groups, and to learn how we can grow through His word and our works.
This Sunday, October 1
Youth assist with Communion

Cardboard Box City September 30 - Wilson High School
We need large (appliance size) boxes - We’re planning a pumpkin patch theme this year.
Cardboard Box City is a Lock-In event open to all ages and affiliations. Participants sleep outdoors in a secure area. Children (sixth grade and younger) are invited to participate, but must have a parent/guardian present for the duration of the event. This event raises money and awareness for the life-changing program of Family Promise. The evening agenda includes music, dinner, games, and prizes! Sign up in the Narthex or at Sunday School. Pick up a sponsor form and waiver! Waivers and sponsor money due to Mrs. Hope no later than September 20.
Bo Time resumes October 8
During Sunday School, each second Sunday, High School Juniors and Seniors are invited to Bojangles’. We meet at the Second Loop location for youth-led devotion and fellowship.
Hospitality Teams: Each Sunday, a different Hospitality Team, in place by 4:45PM, is responsible for providing dessert, helping meal providers unload, setting up, fixing drinks, saying the blessing, serving, and clean-up. If you aren’t on a team and would like to serve, let Mrs. Hope know!
Youth Leadership Training: Each first Sunday, youth assist with communion. Each third Sunday, youth lead children’s moment. Each fourth Sunday, youth lead the morning prayer and usher. Please encourage all our youth to serve. Pick up a gray card - available at the Youth Table in the Narthex.
InMotion: Youth 'move' occasionally in worship and on Youth Sunday. Rehearsals vary. Any youth interested in joining InMotion, please contact Mrs. Jeannette Braswell.
